UAE: New Speed Limits Now Enforced on Major Highways in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Mobility Center has announced new speed limit reductions on two major highways: Sweihan Road (E20) and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road (E11).
This initiative is part of a broader road safety strategy aimed at reducing traffic accidents.

As of now, the speed limit on Sweihan Road has been lowered from 120 km/h to 100 km/h. Meanwhile, on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road, the limit has been revised from 160 km/h to 140 km/h.
These changes, which were first announced last month, took effect on April 14, 2025.
Motorists are urged to comply with these new regulations to ensure safer driving conditions, particularly in high-traffic areas. The updates reflect ongoing efforts to enhance road safety in Abu Dhabi.
