Indonesian Pilgrims
This year, approximately 221,000 pilgrims from Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation, are anticipated to perform the Hajj rites.
Mecca Route Initiative
The “Mecca Route” Initiative aims to facilitate a smooth experience for pilgrims by:
- Finalizing procedures in their home country, including biometric data collection and electronic Hajj visa issuance.
- Managing passport measures and verifying health requirements.
- Offering luggage tagging and sorting at departure airports.
Upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, pilgrims are transported directly to their accommodations in Mecca and Medina, with their luggage delivered to their designated places.
This initiative significantly enhances the Hajj experience, ensuring that pilgrims can focus on their spiritual journey.
