Job Description
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, either by phone or in person.
- Deliver orders to guest rooms promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Set up and clear dining areas in guest rooms, maintaining cleanliness.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests with professionalism.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including specials and dietary requirements.
- Process guest payments and manage transactions (cash/credit card).
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely order delivery.
- Ensure proper setup of trays, carts, and room service equipment.
- Restock and replenish room service items as necessary.
- Keep the room service area clean and organized.
- Assist in preparing condiments, utensils, and beverages for service.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and encourage feedback.
- Uphold hotel safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience in food service (room service experience preferred).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift trays and equipment (up to 25 pounds).
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
